Math Corner Academy’s mission is to provide cohesive
opportunities to build readiness for future endeavors using our organizational
system that will develop transitive study skills.
Wholistic approach
Math Corner Academy is designed to account for students' time being divided between school, home and our tutoring center. Students will receive materials to create links between their daily learning environments.
Two way communication
The Academy facilitates communication between parents, educators and tutors. Students will receive progress reports highlighting mathematical and organizational needs with recommendations and expectations. There will be opportunities to meet with Math Corner staff to discuss student progress.
Readiness
Math Corner Academy will provide experiential opportunities for students to prepare for life after high school. Necessary skills for post high-school will be garnered through implementation of a custom organizational process.
Transitive study skills
By knowing the expectation of the student in the classroom our tutors will develop a custom study plan to help your student reach their goals. This plan will include weekly notetaking and planner check-ins to be sure students are accountable for their work. The organizational system will provide transitive skills students can use outside of math class.

Yes. In order to maximize impact on your student’s math career we find having them take part in the MCA will give the best results. Also as apart of the program your student has the chance to level up which will minimize the structure involved.
Students level up by consistently meeting the organizational requirements outlined in the custom plan developed by their tutor.

We created the academy this summer to provide students the skills necessary to be successful not only in their math class but beyond that. Out of the pandemic we realized many students were struggling in their course because of a lack of a proper scheduling and note-taking system. These skills are necessary in school but also in institutions beyond primary and secondary education. Therefore it is essential to develop with each student a system that works for them that can be implemented to be useful between their daily learning environments now.
